Shuttle service available to our two kennel locations.
Hunt Valley is a busy place. Between the office parks along I-83, the restaurants and shops at Hunt Valley Towne Centre, and the pull of Oregon Ridge Park practically in your backyard, there is a lot going on. What there is not a lot of, right in Hunt Valley itself, is a real country-setting boarding kennel where your dog can actually stretch out, explore nature trails, and come home genuinely happy.
That is where Country Comfort Kennels comes in. Our Jarrettsville, MD facility sits on spacious, pastoral grounds about 30 minutes north of Hunt Valley, and for clients who do not want to make the drive, we run a shuttle that meets at the Timonium Park & Ride, just minutes from Hunt Valley. Our Jarrettsville location has been serving the greater Baltimore area and Baltimore County since 1983.
Most pet boarding operations near Hunt Valley are commercial facilities built for volume. Country Comfort Kennels is something different. We operate on real country property with wooded nature trails, open play areas, and, at our Jarrettsville location, a pond where water-loving dogs can actually swim. Your dog gets out of a run and into an experience. It is what makes our clients keep saying their dogs are excited to come back.
For Hunt Valley residents and anyone commuting along the I-83 corridor, the drive to Jarrettsville is manageable, but we understand that is not always easy to fit in. Our pet shuttle solves that. We meet at the Timonium Park & Ride, which is minutes from Hunt Valley via I-83, and we handle the transportation from there.
Our Jarrettsville facility offers three accommodation types for overnight dog boarding: Indoor Runs in a heated and air-conditioned environment with outdoor exercise yard transfers included, Patio Terrace accommodations where your dog has their own door to a private outdoor terrace they can access on their own throughout the day, and Luxury Suites designed as quiet, comfortable indoor rooms for dogs who do best in a calmer, lower-stimulus environment. Every accommodation includes daily room service, fresh bedding, fresh water, soothing music, treats, and a lot of personal attention.
We can accommodate large dogs, multiple dogs from the same family sharing a run, and pets with medication or special diet needs. Dogs of all sizes are welcome and well cared for at CCK.
Doggy daycare at Country Comfort Kennels is not a waiting room with other dogs. It is a structured day that includes camp activities, outdoor time, and social interaction for dogs who enjoy it. Weekday daycare is available Monday through Friday. Full day passes (six or more hours) include two camp activities. Half day passes include one. Multi-day packages are available at reduced per-day rates.
For Hunt Valley working professionals who feel guilty leaving their dog home during long days, CCK daycare is the answer. Your dog has better days than you do.
We board cats in cozy, quiet condos at our Jarrettsville facility, kept completely separate from the dog boarding areas. Cats are not social in the same way dogs are, and we respect that. Their space is calm, clean, and attended daily. Window-view condos are available on a first-come, first-served basis for cats who like to watch the world go by. Standard amenities include daily litter cleaning, fresh bedding, treats, soft music, and as much or as little interaction as your cat prefers.
This is what separates a great boarding experience from an average one. CCK camp activities available at Jarrettsville include Group Play with pre-screened and temperament-tested dogs, Leisure Nature Walks on long leashes through our wooded property, Play Yard time in a secure fenced area, TLC Time for dogs who want one-on-one attention, Sit and Brush for coat care, and Splash Time for water dogs who want to get in the pond. Boarding dogs can add these activities a la carte. Daycare dogs receive activity time as part of their package.
We offer bathing services that can be added to any boarding or daycare stay. Dogs that receive at least one leisure or group play activity each day over four or more paid boarding days receive a complimentary bath. It is one of the small extras that Hunt Valley clients appreciate when picking up a clean dog on a Friday evening.
CCK’s pet shuttle is designed specifically for clients in the Baltimore metro area who want country-setting kennel care without making the drive every time. For Hunt Valley residents, the shuttle stop at the Timonium Park & Ride on I-83 is the most convenient option. Here is how it works:
The shuttle runs on a set schedule and requires advance booking. Call the Jarrettsville location at 410-692-5055 to arrange shuttle service along with your boarding or daycare reservation. This service is especially popular with Hunt Valley, Timonium, and Lutherville clients who travel frequently for work and need a reliable, no-hassle pickup arrangement.
Call 410-692-5055 to set up a shuttle appointment when making your boarding or daycare reservation. The Timonium Park & Ride shuttle meets at 1:00 pm. You bring your pet there, hand them off to our driver, and they are delivered to our Jarrettsville facility. The return shuttle brings your pet back to the same location. Space is limited, so book early.
Standard indoor runs include outdoor exercise yard visits that are supervised and scheduled throughout the day. Patio Terrace accommodations give your dog their own private outdoor terrace with a door they can go through on their own during daylight hours. It is a step up in independence and outdoor access, and many dogs love it.
Yes. We offer daycare packages in 5-day, 10-day, and 20-day increments at reduced per-day rates. Multi-day passes do not have to be used consecutively, which makes them flexible for working professionals with variable schedules. Passes expire six months from the purchase date.
We work with all temperaments. Dogs that are not suitable for group play participate in individual leisure activities. Our staff are trained in dog behavior and we take a calm, individual approach to every pet in our care. If your dog has specific needs or triggers, let us know when you book so we can plan accordingly.
Yes. Country Comfort Kennels is fully licensed and insured at both locations.
Hunt Valley, Timonium, Lutherville, and the surrounding Baltimore County communities are home to a lot of dogs and cats who deserve a great boarding experience when their families travel or get busy. Country Comfort Kennels has been providing that experience for Baltimore-area families for over four decades.
Book your pet’s stay, or call our Jarrettsville location at 410-692-5055. To arrange shuttle pickup from the Timonium Park & Ride, mention it when you call and we will get that coordinated for you.
A deposit of 25% of the total boarding charges, subject to forfeiture, is required to review and accept your reservation.
Unlike many other boarding facilities, CCK allows your pets to be picked up or dropped off anytime during our Boarding hours. Charges begin the day your pet arrives. If your pet is picked up before 12:00 pm on the day of departure, no Boarding charge will be incurred for that final day.
Not all types of accommodations may be available at all locations.
We will gladly administer medications for an additional fee. Please see our Medication Policy.
