Shuttle service available to our two kennel locations.
Baltimore County is a wide geographic range — dense suburbs in Towson and Cockeysville, growing commercial corridors in Hunt Valley and White Marsh, and more rural communities as you head north toward Maryland Line and the Pennsylvania border. If you’re in any part of that territory and looking for dog boarding that’s genuinely worth the drive, Country Comfort Kennels in Street, MD is 20 to 40 minutes from most Baltimore County zip codes depending on where you’re starting.
We’ve been boarding dogs since 1974. The Weiskopf family has operated CCK since 1983. That’s not a stat we throw out for marketing — it’s context. We’ve watched fads come and go in the pet care industry, and the dogs boarding with us today get the same hands-on, attentive care that built our reputation in the first place. You don’t stay open this long by doing mediocre work.
The I-83 corridor connecting Baltimore County to Harford County and southern Pennsylvania is one of the busiest commuter routes in the region. A lot of our Baltimore County clients found us because they drive this route regularly and noticed our facility, or because someone in Hunt Valley, Cockeysville, or Timonium recommended us. Word of mouth has always been our most reliable source of new clients.
The draw is usually the same: people want a kennel that feels like a real operation, not one that has scaled too fast to give individual dogs real attention. Our facility isn’t a pet hotel with a lobby and a concierge. It’s a working kennel on open land with outdoor exercise areas, nature trails, and enough space for dogs to actually run — not just exist in a building while they wait for you to come back.
All of our accommodations are climate-controlled, which matters in a region where July humidity is brutal and January can bring ice storms that shut down I-695 for hours. We don’t ask dogs to tough out temperature extremes. Every run includes fresh bedding, water, meals, treats, toys, and regular outdoor time.
Spacious, heated, and air-conditioned with daily room service and personal outside exercise yard time built into the routine. This is our standard boarding option and covers the needs of most dogs very well.
A connected indoor-outdoor space with a door your dog can use freely during the day. For dogs who are used to having yard access at home, this option significantly reduces the adjustment to a boarding environment. They’re not waiting for staff to let them out — they decide when they go in and out.
A private, quiet room that operates more like home than a traditional kennel. Best suited for senior dogs, dogs with anxiety, or dogs who have a hard time with the ambient noise of a busy facility. Premium amenities included on top of our standard package.
If you’re employed in the Hunt Valley business district, commuting through Cockeysville, or based in Timonium and working long days, CCK’s doggy daycare is a real solution for dogs who don’t do well home alone for 9-10 hours. Dogs in our daycare program get supervised time with compatible dogs, actual exercise, and enrichment — not a crate in a back room.
Daycare runs Monday through Friday (see our current daycare hours). Many of our Baltimore County daycare clients drop their dog off on the way to work and pick them up on the return trip. It’s not a bad deal for the dog either — they come home tired in a way that makes evening walks and TV time a lot more peaceful.
Standard boarding at CCK already includes more activity than most facilities offer as premium upgrades. Our Camp Activities program covers outdoor play, supervised group activities, and time on our nature trails. We also offer bathing services, which is genuinely useful when your dog has been playing outside in a Maryland summer for a week. No one wants a dirty dog in their car.
This is what makes CCK genuinely accessible for Baltimore County residents who don’t want to make the full drive out on boarding day. We run a scheduled pet shuttle with three regular pickup and return locations, all in Baltimore County:
If you commute via the Light Rail and work in Baltimore City, the Falls Road stop is a logical handoff. If you’re coming from White Marsh, Essex, or the eastern Baltimore County corridor, the IKEA lot puts you close to home.
The shuttle was designed for pet owners who are traveling — people flying out of BWI, catching a train, or heading somewhere without a car. Your dog meets the shuttle at the designated time, and we take it from there. Shuttle space is limited and fills up fast around major holidays. Book early.
A 25% deposit secures your reservation. If you pick your dog up before noon on the departure day, no boarding charge is incurred for that final day.
Our Street, MD location is approximately 20-25 minutes north via I-83. It's a straightforward drive with minimal traffic lights once you're off the highway. Most Hunt Valley residents find the drive very manageable, especially for a week-long or longer boarding stay.
Our facility is in Street, MD, but our shuttle makes the trip easy for Timonium residents. We pick up at the Timonium F.G. Park & Ride daily at 1:00 PM. No driving to the kennel required.
Yes. Our pet shuttle stops at Timonium and White Marsh, which puts both Cockeysville and Hunt Valley residents within easy reach of the service. The Timonium stop is the most convenient for that corridor.
Yes. We have a dedicated cat boarding area kept entirely separate from the dog sections. It's quiet, climate-controlled, and staffed by people who understand that cats and dogs have very different boarding needs.
We can accommodate dogs who need to stay out of group play. Talk to us before booking and we'll set up the right arrangement. Don't assume the kennel can't handle it -- we've worked with plenty of dogs who need their own space.
Our main Maryland location serves all of Baltimore County. Towson and Lutherville residents are roughly 25-30 minutes away, and the White Marsh or Timonium shuttle stops are convenient options if you'd rather not make the drive yourself.
Yes. Puppies need more frequent check-ins and a predictable feeding schedule. Let us know your puppy's age, feeding schedule, and any specific needs at the time of booking.
Contact us by phone or through our online booking portal. A 25% deposit is required to confirm the reservation. Our Jarrettsville/Street location number is 410-692-5055.
We contact you immediately and take your dog to a veterinarian if needed. We ask for emergency contact information and your preferred vet at check-in.
Yes. All of our accommodations are fully heated and air-conditioned. Maryland weather is not forgiving in July or January, and we don't put dogs in a position where they have to deal with extreme temperatures.

I cannot say enough good things about this kennel and it's staff. They are all so friendly and our 3 Olde English Bulldogges love to go there each and every time. During our last boarding, one of our dogs injured her dew claw and it required additional medical attention. The staff informed us of the injury right away and a plan was made to get her in with one of the kennel's local vets. She was seen the very next morning and taken care of. I was so happy with the communication from the staff to us while we were away. I was even more happy with the care they provided to our girl. <3Posted on Google![]()

They take such great care of my baby. She goes there twice a year and gets so excited when we get there.
A deposit of 25% of the total boarding charges, subject to forfeiture, is required to review and accept your reservation.
Unlike many other boarding facilities, CCK allows your pets to be picked up or dropped off anytime during our Boarding hours. Charges begin the day your pet arrives. If your pet is picked up before 12:00 pm on the day of departure, no Boarding charge will be incurred for that final day.
Not all types of accommodations may be available at all locations.
We will gladly administer medications for an additional fee. Please see our Medication Policy.
