Q.  What forms of payment do you accept?

A.  We accept Cash, Travelers Checks, VISA, Discover and Mastercard.

 

Q.  What is your cancellation policy and refund policy?

A.  We request the courtesy of 48 hours notice for cancellations.

Q.  Can we drop pets off early / pick up late?

A.  We encourage all pickup / dropoffs be during normal hours, in certain circumstances before or after hours services can be arranged for an additional
      fee.

 

Q.  Do you have video surveilence cameras so I can see my pet?

A.  Not at this time.  We are planning to install webcams at all locations when we have local technical issues corrected.

 

 

Well Being-Related Questions

Q What Vaccination and Immunizations does Country Comfort Kennels Require from their visitors?

A.  We require all dogs to be current on the following vaccinations for all services

  • Rabies
  • DHLPP/DHPP - Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis (Not Required), Parainfluenza, Parvovirus
  • Bordetella - Canine Cough
  • H3N2/H3N8 - Canine Influenza (Effective 11/20/2017) This vaccination can be waived by obtaining a letter from your vet explaining why your dog will not be able to receive the vaccination.

      We require all cats to be current on the following vaccinations for all services

  • Rabies
  • FVRCP - (Feline Distemper) Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia

 

Q.  What if my vet will not give my pet any of the required vaccinations due to age or allergic reactions?

A.  If your pet is unable to receive any of the required vaccinations, a Titer Test will need be conducted to prove immunity to the potential risks of the viruses.  With the exception of the H3N2/H3N8 vaccination, a letter from your vet only stating they cannot receive the vaccination for whatever reason will not suffice.

 

Q.  My pet is too young to receive all the required vaccinations. Can they still board at the facilities?

A.  We can accept pets too young to receive their full series of the required vaccinations. Please note that they may not be able to be housed with the general population of pets and will not be able to participate in Group Play activities.

 

Q.  My pet takes prescription medications. Can Country Comfort Kennels accommodate my pet?

A.  We can administer Oral and Non-Oral Medications for an additional fee.  We are unable to accomodate pets who require shots such as insulin.

 

Q.  What training does Country Comfort Kennels provide to their staff?

A. Most of our staff must complete the PCSA Pet Care Technician Course and some undergo Dog Behavior Training.

 

Q.  How often are the kennels inspected?

A.  Each kennel is inspected daily for cleanliness and safety.  Our PA kennels are inspected regularly and our reports are posted on line at Kennel Inspection Database. We have never failed an inspection and even exceed the standards.

 

Q.  How will my pet's health be monitored while at Country Comfort Kennels?

A.  We monitor and record each dogs daily intake of food and water, whether urinating and defecating normally, and overall health and appearance.  Our staff is trained to recognize first signs of illness or distress.  We have access to veterinarian care 24/7.  We always use the pet owner's vet when he/she is local to us or at least confer with them if they are too far away.
